Made for your kitchen

Build cooking skills at your own pace

Chef School brings a cooking skill tree into Culina. Open a skill, read its lesson, and record your progress as you move through the learning path.

Follow a structured skill tree

Beginner skills open in sequence. Completing the beginner level opens the intermediate level, which also progresses in sequence. Completing the intermediate skills opens the advanced kitchens.

Read, explore and practise

Lesson screens present written steps, with images when supplied. Practice recipe links appear where assignments have been added. Advanced kitchens can list techniques and associated recipes. Lesson detail and practice content vary by skill, and some skills or kitchens may have no assignments or techniques yet.

Record your own progress

Progress is self-reported. Choosing an assignment recipe records a skill's completion; skills without assignments can be marked complete. Advanced kitchens also have a completion control. The app awards a Culina completion diploma after the required progression and a first advanced-kitchen completion. This is an app completion record, not an accredited qualification or an assessment by an instructor.

Part of Star Chef

Chef School requires Star Chef access. It is a self-paced text-and-image learning feature, without live instruction, video courses or verification that a dish has been cooked. Paid checkout is not live yet.
